In the earlier days (i.e. early 2020. In the past, comedians may have expected to perform across the UK for many years before being invited onto a television panel, and later selling an arena tour. But it is not that simple in the present. Comedy is one of the art forms that is able to continue to be performed front of an audience, but we're not going to be seeing arena tours anytime in the near future. One Bristol comedian, however, has managed to attract an immense global audience during lockdown through social media. Being famous on the internet is not something Abi Clarke was hoping to achieve. The 24-year old, who lives in Hen bury with her parents, began creating online videos "to establish a following of like-minded people who would like my stand-up comedy. "I was performing more shows in Devon to men aged 50 and over, so I started making online videos with the intention to build a community of like-minded individuals who would like my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
